I was born in
the Sierras of Northern California, and moved to the Big
Island of Hawaii when I was just three weeks old.

Surrounded by nature, I grew to
the age of four when my family moved to Humboldt
County. There, in the woods of the North Coast, I
spent my childhood. My family lived "off the grid"
and I occupied many hours exploring in the local
forest studying the plants and animals. From there
photography came as a logical evolution. I took my
first picture when I was twelve with my Mom's 35-mm
"point and shoot" camera. I loved taking photos but
hated waiting for them to develop. I bought my first
Digital SLR back in 2005 and that is when my
excitement for photography really took off. I’m a
completely self taught 20 yr old guy, I truly
believe It’s the person and his natural passion that
makes a great photographer, not the camera he uses
or the school he went to. I hope you enjoy my work.
I put my heart into every photo and every sale I get
supports my passion of capturing what I see and feel
in the world around me. With this I hope to show
others new elements of our environment on a scale
too often overlooked.
